April Fuels Ride

We met in the park on a lovely sunny evening for a ride through Birchfields Park and the Fallowfield Loop. Joined by two wild food experts we learnt about different foods we could eat in our green spaces. Some were delicious and some were not!!!

It was a really interesting night, with a visit to the fantastic Forest Garden at Birchfields Park where Kirsty explained how forest gardens work and what is growing there.

Art Ride

We rode to Platt Fields Park boatshed to create some artistic masterpieces..some we have put up now and others we are putting up intermittently throughout the festival..

It was a lovely evening for cutting and sticking and spraying...

Kidical Mass

On Sunday we met around 35 people, big and small, for a ride around Platt Fields Park and on the Fallowfield Loop...It was a beautiful sunny day and we all rode together joyfully chatting and singing as we rode..

Stopping for a picnic halfway through the ride we decided that half the ride would go to start painting the mural whilst the rest would carry on riding the rest of the loop then join them later.

I Bike Platt Fields

What a day of magnificent happenings and fun!!!

The weather was temperamental with bouts of glorious sunshine followed by storms of hailstone but everyone seemed to love the excitement!!!

There were amazing beautiful live bands powered by the pedal power of Magnificent Revolution's set up, loads of stalls selling and telling us wondrous things.

Mary did some bike maintenance and was a fountain of knowledge for people to come and ask the most random questions about the workings of their bikes...
