Have fun at the wave Vincent

I Bike MCR supporter Vincent Walsh and his friend Eoin met the bike ride going to the Wave this morning. There were only the two of them but I've heard from other cities that there are quite a lot riding down to London to the wave:

"On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life will march through the streets of London to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all."

Santacat 2009!!!

Last year at the Xmas alleycat over 30 people entered and fun was had by

Ladies and Gents,

The button-pressing age has given rise to obesity. More and more people work in sedentary office jobs. People use artificial spaces to exercise, to step-up but not get higher, to run and not get anywhere. What are we doing with our physicality and strength?

Introduction to Bike Polo

So this Thursday (tomorrow) we are holding an open bike polo practise for people that want to come and have a go. It is at 6.30pm at Platt Fields Park in the Basket Ball courts near the BMX track (look for the lights!)

Bring a bike you don't mind getting whacked if you have one, if not then you can borrow one of ours for now..

See you tomorrow!

1st race

Earlier this year we started doing road rides every saturday as training and fun and to pretend we were fausto or beryl or nicole or eddy...it was lovely but hard work..we even rode up the ventoux!!!

Two of those people had their first ever race this sunday at cragg vale...one is me and one is ronnie..we were terrified

But we did pretty ace, despite me having an asthma attack on the way up and a horrible head wind. I got a lovely bunch of flowers for being the 2nd Lady and we both got some free beer to help us relax our aching limbs when we got home
