Moonlight Rides in 2010 - now every Full Moon
The last Moonlight Ride was back in November, since then snowy roads and wimpy organisers who like having circulation in fingers and toes have put them on hold. But with the thawing of temperatures, the nocturnal exploration, out of town adventures and random pubs are back on!
The moonlight rides are being re-launched! Some people found it hard fitting a Saturday night ride into their social lives, so we're going to start riding under every Full Moon!!! Not only will this give us a chance to pretend to be werewolves on bikes, but this also means the day of the week will change each month to be more flexible around people's commitments.
We've moved the meeting time forward to give us a chance to get some miles under our wheels and still get to bed at a reasonable time before work/uni in the morning.
The rides will be a chance to see your city and it's surrounding countryside from a new perspective. A social club. A chance to ride in a world without cars. A party on wheels. A place to network and share ideas. A celebration of the bicycle. An adventure - complete with wizards, beaches and secret trails. A bike ride! All of these things and more, sometimes all at once. We meet on every full moon at the Sandbar on Grosvenor Street. Meet at 6pm leaving at 6:30pm sharp. See the calendar for dates.
Come ride with us and find out what it's really about. All abilities welcome. Mileage and routes shall be posted before the ride, we hope to vary these from 15 to 50 miles!
The next ride is Feb 28th, meet at the Sandbar 6pm
