The Manchester Bicycle Polo team started in April 2007. Since then we have played every week and taken part in many tournaments and matches.
It is an exiting and exhilarating sport to play or even just to watch! And playing can help improve your balance and overall cycling skills that are transferable to road and mountain biking.
Everyone is welcome!

If you would like to get involved then come along to one of our practises where we teach new comers how to play the sport free of charge and then have a few practise matches. Just bring a bike that you don't mind getting bashed with a ball or a mallet (it can be any type of bike you feel comfortable riding) and we'll provide the ball and mallets (unless you want to have a go at making one yourself), or just come along with a flask of tea or a beer and watch us play.
We play every Thursday at 6pm at Whitworth Park, Denmark Road

Supernova Society, Oxford Terrible Freewheelers, Whitechapel Rippers,
Brick Lane Hackers, Trojan Whores, Brick Lane Slappers, Zombie R.M.Y.

We are available for festivals or bike events to do a polo demonstration or to teach adults or children how to play the sport. We have previously done this at Manchester Bike Week and at The Wythenshawe Forever Festival. If you would like us to do this at an event you're organising please email info@ibikemcr.org.uk
